I did not have any idea that a vitamin deficiency would wreak as much havoc on my body as it did when I had one. I have a feeling most other people would not think the same type of deficiency would be much of a big deal either. After I learned that I was really low on a very important vitamin, I finally understood why I had so many odd symptoms. To combat one the issue of my hair falling out, I ended up getting a PRP treatment for my hair with the hope that I could grow it back after so much of it had fallen out in a very short space of time. I’m not a very vain person at all, but it was heartbreaking to see my hair falling before getting the treatment.
The problem began when I woke up one morning with my heart racing. I had never before heard my heart during my sleep, but this time, it was beating so fast that it jolted me awake. I laid there for a bit with my eyes closed as I tried to come out of my sleep stupor. I felt alarmed. It was beating harder than it does when I go for a daily run. I wondered if I was having a heart attack, but nothing of the sort happened. It was unnerving, to say the least.
Each day afterward, I found that I was feeling foggy and a bit confused. I wondered if these things had to do with my age. Coupled with the racing heart, I wondered if I had the start of heart disease. Then, my hair began falling out. I was mortified and immediately went to the doctor. After some quick tests, I was told that I was deficient in Vitamin D. Thankfully, that is an easy enough fix. In the meantime, I went to an aesthetic clinic to have the PRP treatment done. I had it done twice and it really helped. I saw new hair growth within just months.
